Responsibilities:

Menu Development: Collaborate with the Head Chef to create innovative and authentic Chinese cuisine menus, emphasizing Dimsum, Bao, and Wok specialties.

Food Preparation: Execute food preparation tasks efficiently and with precision, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Cooking Techniques: Showcase expertise in traditional Chinese cooking techniques, including steaming, frying, and stir-frying, especially in Dimsum, Bao, and Wok dishes.

Ingredient Selection: Source and select the freshest and highest quality ingredients, maintaining consistency and authenticity in flavor profiles.

Recipe Adherence: Adhere to standardized recipes while also demonstrating creativity and flair in adapting dishes to meet customer preferences and dietary requirements.

Kitchen Hygiene and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, strictly adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service delivery.

Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to junior kitchen staff, sharing knowledge and expertise in Chinese culinary techniques.

Customer Satisfaction: Consistently strive to exceed guest expectations by delivering exceptional dining experiences through outstanding culinary creations.

Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing demands and priorities in a fast-paced kitchen environment.


Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie specializing in Chinese Cuisine, with a focus on Dimsum, Bao, and Wok cooking.
  • Extensive knowledge of Chinese culinary traditions, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a highpressure kitchen environment, demonstrating resilience and composure under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering culinary excellence.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Certification from a culinary school or relevant apprenticeship program is desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
