Job Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate records of fertilizer inventory levels, including tracking stock levels, expiration dates, and reordering when necessary.

Implement inventory control practices to prevent overstocking or stockouts.

Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping of fertilizers.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.

Conduct regular quality checks on incoming and outgoing fertilizer products to ensure they meet established standards and regulations.

Hire, train, and manage warehouse staff, including forklift operators, warehouse associates, and administrative personnel.

Schedule and assign tasks to employees to ensure efficient operations.

Oversee the logistics and distribution process, coordinating with transport providers and managing transportation schedules.

Plan and optimize the loading and unloading of fertilizer shipments.

Ensure that all warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, conveyors, and storage systems, is well-maintained and in working order.

Manage the budget for warehouse operations, identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing cost-effective strategies.

Ensure that the handling and storage of fertilizers comply with environmental regulations and safety standards.

Generate and maintain reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics.

Provide regular updates to senior management on warehouse operations.

Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and customers, addressing inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.

Education Qualification

A bachelor's degree is often preferred, but relevant work experience can be considered in place of a degree.

Typically, several years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role is required. Prior experience in managing agricultural or chemical products, including fertilizers, is advantageous.

Understanding of fertilizer products, safety regulations, and warehouse management software is essential.

Strong leadership and team management abilities are required to supervise warehouse personnel effectively.

Effective written and verbal communication skills are necessary for interacting with employees, suppliers, and customers.

The ability to identify and resolve issues related to inventory, logistics, and operations is crucial.

Fertilizer warehouse managers must pay close attention to details to maintain the quality and safety of stored products.

Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to the storage and handling of fertilizers is important.

The role may involve physical activities, so good physical condition may be necessary for certain tasks.
