Where you fit in


Shell Integration Specialists in Integration Center of Excellence are Subject Matter Experts, responsible for enabling Shells enterprise Integration Services The role is central to the Integration Community in Shell, which comprise of Portfolio Managements, Architects, Operations, Development Teams, Business Users & Focal Points, Infrastructure providers and more.

Implementing standards & guidelines, best practices, lessons learned, own & accountable for key processes, developing solutions and resolving business problems.


What's the role


As an IDT Advisor - Integration, you are responsible for interfacing across all of Shell's businesses and IT functions at multiple levels to identify and prioritize opportunities and to propose compliant solutions in line with Shell's Integration strategy.

You will be actively involved in Integration solution development projects providing analysis, technical insight and SME consultancy.

Working closely with Project and Operational teams to plan and execute the approach for the delivery of interface releases and enhancements.

Aside from above, you are expected for the following:

  • An active member and promoter of Shells Integration community
  • Engaging with business IT stakeholders, dealing with people from different regions / countries with diverse cultures, languages and time zones
  • Understanding and analysing business issues, goals and requirements
  • Defining and documenting business requirements and seeking IT solutions in line with IT strategy and target portfolio & architecture
  • Generating innovative approaches to existing problems or new opportunities

What we need from you

  • 8 or more years' experience in an Integration (Middleware) and active handson experience in various Integration technology
  • An indepth and working knowledge of Azure Integration Service technology like Azure Logic Apps, API Management technologies, Confluent, Azure Integration Services, SSIS, ELT tools, ADF, AWS
  • Experience working with Cloud, SaaS, PaaS and related technology exposures and Operational supports
  • ITIL or related discipline certifications
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written English is essential
  • Interpersonal and facilitation skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of business and IT stakeholders; Substantial experience in coordinating, consulting, problem management and detailed solution analysis
  • Lead or management role in certain capacity and ability to act as Subject Matter Expert; Producing a consistently high standard of documentation; both functional and technical
  • Knowledge of latest Integration trends/developments/products and a desire to learn new Integration technologies
  • Multiskilled in new age Integration Technology & tools (MS Azure Integration stacks
  • ADF & Logic Apps, IOT HUB, Event Hub, Data Streaming etc.)
  • Good understanding of systems engineering lifecycle methodology
  • Agile, SCRUM, etc.; Good understanding of software testing cycles, tools and methods and knowledge of project delivery methodologies, including LEAN
