Akula Bisht

This is Akula. I am a recent M.A. Counselling Psychology graduate. During my academic journey, I have gained a strong foundation in counselling psychology, with a particular focus on various therapy models such as CBT, REBT, and SFBT. My experience as a Social Media Manager at Wellness Within has honed my skills in creating engaging content related to mental health, hosting webinars, and inviting speakers for live sessions. I have also completed a fellowship program where I had the opportunity to conduct one-on-one counselling sessions with clients under supervision, further strengthening my clinical skills. In addition to my educational background and work experience, I have actively engaged in various social initiatives and volunteer work. These experiences have allowed me to work with diverse populations, develop empathy and understanding, and refine my communication and interpersonal skills.

I have a passion for promoting mental health.  I am known for bringing about new inspiration and thought-provoking ideas. I perform best in a work culture that promotes high-energy teamwork balanced with positivity and collaboration. I am dependable and creative with a strong work ethic and an artistic eye, but also bring a fun-loving and enthusiastic attitude. I possess experience in communication, interpersonal and collaboration and I am confident that my creative talents will prove to be an invaluable addition to organizations.

Having been raised in an International School where students from over 40 countries coexist, I have developed a profound understanding of cultural diversity and possess a keen sensitivity towards the issues faced by individuals from different backgrounds. I am eager  apply my counselling skills, and impart my theoretical knowledge of psychology to others and contribute in improving the well-being of my clients and students.
