Anindya Sundar Patra

Presently I am working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology, Republic of Korea. During my Ph.D. and post-doctoral research, I gained expertise in semiconductor nanoparticles and quantum dot synthesis by solid-state, solvothermal, and sol-gel routes. I have gained hands-on experience in using various instruments, like FTIR, fluorescence, TRPL, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, FESEM, TEM, gas chromatography, ESR, X-ray diffractometer, BET surface area analyzer, XPS, etc. I have also worked on Rietveld refinement of the powder X-ray patterns of different materials and their XPS analysis to know about their different phases and surface properties. I also do have hands-on expertize in electrochemical workstations for photoelectrochemical water splitting and solar cell fabrications.

Since December 2021            Postdoctoral researcher at the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), Republic of Korea.

            Research area: Solar water evaporation, photoelectrochemical water splitting

2019 – 2021           Postdoctoral researcher at Department of Chemistry, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan.

     Research area: Facet-dependent metal oxide nanoparticle synthesis and their photocatalytic activity evaluation

2012 – 2018          Ph.D. in Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry of Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, India. Ph.D. thesis title: Synthesis, Characterization and Electronic Structure Modulation of Perovskite Oxides for Photocatalytic Applications.

2009 – 2011          M. Sc. in Chemistry (First Class), National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha, India. M. Sc. Project: Synthesis, characterization, and catalytic applications of Al-Pillared clay towards environmentally benign synthesis of bis(indolyl)methanes.
