Anirban Das

Allow me to introduce myself—my name is Anirban Das. I am delighted to share a glimpse of who I am and what drives me.

With a background in Physics, I have developed a solid foundation in solid state Physics. These experiences have not only honed my abilities but have also ignited my desire to continually learn and grow. In my academic role for more than fifteen years, I exercised a calculated and methodical approach to problem-solving. I am independently motivated, yet I appreciate team efforts and collaborate productively within groups. Additionally, I am knowledgeable in training and quality control with proficiency in compliance. I have been working as an AP for more than fifteen years at the undergraduate level. I have introduced some new experiments and virtual laboratory systems in Physics laboratories. My main research areas are in the field of theoretical and experimental study of the physical properties of Materials.

 Along with my academic experiences, I am also involved in different administrative jobs, like the head of the department, General council -Student chapter, examination committee supervisor, hostel warden, laboratory in charge, and admission committee, etc.

i) Working as an Assistant Professor (Sr. Scale)–Physics at the College of Engineering and Management, Kolaghat (under MAKAUT, WB, India) from March 2012 and acting as HOD –Basic Sciences. Additionally, I am working as a Laboratory In charge of the Physics Lab and nanomaterial lab. I am an important member of the Admission committee and General Council (student chapter). I have worked in the examination cell during the Covid situation for online semester examinations. 

ii) Worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of Basic Sciences (Physics) at the Institute of Engineering & Industrial Technology-IEIT, Durgapur (under MAKAUT, WB, India) for two semesters and also working as the head of the department (HOD-BS). During my tenure, I was an important member of the examination cell.

iii) Worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Camellia Institute of Technology and Management, Bianchi, Hooghly (under MAKAUT, WB, India) for two years also acting as the head of the department.  I was a potential member of the examination cell during my tenure. In the odd semester of December 2010, I was appointed as a USS (University Station Supervisor). 

iv) Worked as Lecturer in Greater Kolkata College of Engineering and Management, Baruipur, Kolkata (under MAKAUT, WB, India) for 10 months (2009). During my tenure, I was an important member of the examination cell.
