About Anjuli Thawait:

It all goes back to that one point in 2018, it was before I took up teaching as my profession I taught kids at my home. It started as a hobby; however, it encapsulates my entire life now. I accelerated from taking up tuitions and began teaching professionally in 2019, where I taught Spoken English to kindergarten teachers at Sukanya Blooms Institute, Bhopal. I managed to impart basic grammar, conversational English, phonetics, public speaking, and personality development. I was able to make the teachers confident in handling parent-teacher discussions. It boosted their confidence in speaking elegantly. It was a small-time gig, but it left an impressionable mark. Having completed the training program at Sukanya I was definite I wanted to remain in this profession, thus I enrolled myself in Jagran’s Ph.D. program in English Literature and will be awarded my degree early next year. The university was impressed with my research work and chose me as one of their faculty in February 2021. I work under the designation of Assistant Professor of English at Jagran School of Law. I teach English and Communication Skills to BBA.LLB and BA.LLB students in Year I and II. I currently have 137 students under me, and my interdisciplinary method of teaching the students has brought in quick responses. I was responsible for updating the law students’ English and Communication Skills syllabus, and I managed to accommodate it with works of world literature. The fresh works engaged the students in critical thinking, and they became more engaged and participatory from when I first started. I deal with anti-racist pedagogy in the updated texts, along with controversial topics of religious hatred and social conditioning. In conclusion, I understand the need for quality guidance, informative and interactive classes, and cross-cultural discussions as a new teacher and researcher.
