My role as a kitchen helper is to assist the chefs and other kitchen staff in various tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen. While specific responsibilities may vary depending on the establishment and kitchen setup.

1. Food Preparation: Kitchen helpers assist in basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients. They may also measure and portion ingredients for recipes.

Dishwashing: One of the primary responsibilities of a kitchen helper is to clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment after they are used. This includes hand-washing or using commercial dishwashers.

Cleaning and Sanitizing: Keeping the kitchen clean and organized is crucial for maintaining a hygienic environment. Kitchen helpers help in cleaning countertops, equipment, floors, and other kitchen surfaces.

Stocking Supplies: They ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked with essential ingredients, cleaning supplies, and other necessary items.

Assisting Cooks and Chefs: Kitchen helpers support the cooks and chefs during food preparation by fetching ingredients, passing utensils, and performing other tasks as needed.

Garbage Disposal: Disposing of kitchen waste properly and maintaining waste separation is part of the kitchen helper's responsibilities.

Food Plating and Presentation: Kitchen helpers may assist in plating dishes and adding finishing touches to the presentation of meals before they are served.

Inventory Management: They may assist in taking inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients, notifying the chef or manager when items need to be reordered.
