Dr.Himanshu Solanki

Dr. Himanshu Solanki is currently employed as an Associate professor, SSR College of Pharmacy, Sayli Road, Silvassa, UT of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. He is pharmacy graduate in 2006 from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat, Post graduate in 2009 from Ganpat University, Kherva, Dist-Mehsana and Doctorate in 2015 from Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan. He has experience of over 13 years of teaching/research experience. He has also worked as Pharmacists in State T.B. training and demonstration center, Civil hospital, Ahmedabad.  He has authored three books, published more than 35 reviews and research articles in reputed international journals. He has guided 20 M. Pharm. and 01 Ph. D Students Pursuing. His area of research includes formulation & development of various dosage form and development of Probiotic delivery system. He has developed many formulation bases on Probiotic as biotherapeutic agent in research project. He has fetched Research grant of Rs.120000 from BCUD, Savitribai Phule Pune University and Rs1560784 grant under MODROB Scheme from AICTE, New Delhi.  He has attended workshop, conference, seminar and SDP Sponsored by AICTE, IPA, BCUD, ICMR etc. and presented poster & presentation in national and international conference.

Duties and Responsibilities:  Responsible for delivering lectures and conducting practical laboratory session at undergraduate (B. Pharm) and postgraduate (M. Pharm) level.  Designing, preparing and developing teaching materials.  Advising and guiding students on academic and other related matter  Setting and marking internal and university level Theory and Practical examinations.  Responsible for attending meeting, seminar and conference related to the field  Actively working as organizing member of state and national level seminar and conference held within the college  Carrying out administrative task related to departments, approval and compliance from apex bodies such as AICTE, PCI, University, Fee Regularity Agency (FRA), AISHE Documentation work.  Functioned as Academic Research Coordinator (ARC) by the college in association with IQAC cell, BCUD, SPPU, Pune.  Functioned as Senior Supervisor for conducting University Level Theory Examination for B. Pharm and M. Pharm programme.  Work as member of NBA Accreditation committee of UG Program of the institute and also Member of IQAC cell and College Development Committee (CDC)
