About Dr Kiran D C:
I am a seasoned higher education administrator with over 25 years of experience in academics, research, and university governance, and a proven track record as Registrar in building and operationalizing two greenfield universities in Bengaluru. With formal qualifications in Computer Science and Engineering (B.Tech, M.Tech), a Ph.D. from BITS Pilani, and a Master of Business Law from NLSIU, I bring a rare combination of academic depth, regulatory expertise, and administrative leadership. I have successfully established and led academic regulations, statutory compliance, admissions, examinations, evaluation frameworks, accreditation readiness, and digital academic systems, ensuring transparency, integrity, and alignment with UGC, AICTE, and accreditation requirements. My core strength lies in translating institutional vision into robust, scalable, and student-centric academic governance systems, enabling universities to grow sustainably while maintaining academic quality and regulatory rigor.

In the two decades of my journey in the field of Higher Education, I have spent 10 years in BITS-Pilani as a faculty and Nucleus member of Work Integrated Learning Program Division.

My academic journey includes few administration roles such as Registrar (i/c), Registrar (Evaluation), Chief Warden, and General Administration and I have contributed fully, ethically, and legally to set up two Green Field University as :-
Registrar (i/c):
I feel proud and completely satisfied to be part of activities such as drafting applications to KSHEC / HED to get the approval to start the academic activities of the University and followed by inspection by HED and I understand the process of getting all the necessary approvals from UGC, KCET, SSP, NSP, AISHE, AIU and BCI.
I have experience in conducting statutory meetings such as Academic Council, Board of management and Board of Governors.
Administrative activities:
IT, Maintenance, setting up Labs, preparing day to day operation requirements of university, Preparing Budget, stock and asset details, University land registration) and
Academic Activities:
Timetabling, Course Registration, Conducting Exams, Announcing results, Issuing grade cards and maintaining & communicating student data of the students, Students progress and Setting up Library…etc.).
In Presidency University-Bangalore, along with teaching, I served as Chief Warden, Student welfare in-charge, Anti Ragging in-charge and Student Disciplinary in-charge.
