I am Shashi Kumar C.G working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy under college of applied medical sciences, University of Hail, Kingdom Saudi Arabia. 

Certified footwear prescription from FOOT SOLUTIONS USA affiliated with Sports medicine, Manipal Hospitals, India. I have carried out many gait analysis, foot analysis and customized insoles, footwear designing and prescription.

 I have a good experience more than 6years in teaching musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy, Biomechanics with advanced updates which include VICON, EMG, EX-Sense, DIERS Formetric 4D, HP-COSMOS, Virtual reality, PRIMUS-RS, etc. I have also certified and worked in a gait analysis lab, footwear, and insole customization through foot solutions USA. I have good experience in footwear customization through advanced softwares and insole mill.

After completion of my PhD, 

Aug. ‘2016– June.’2017: I worked as assistant professor in Lovely Professional University, India. During this teaching period I taught bachelor and master students of Physical therapy program. As an assistant professor I had been actively involved in teaching bachelor’s and master program. My key subjects include Exercise physiology, Orthopedics, Biomechanics, Anatomy. 

I have also guided Bachelor and Master student thesis and worked as chief research committee member of the Institution. During this period, I was also given a responsibility of developing a superspeciality physiotherapy clinic in a hospital as a consultant chief physiotherapist.

Dec ‘2017 – till date: I got appointed as assistant professor in University of Hail under the ministry of higher education, Saudi Arabia. In my current duties, I have been teaching physiotherapy and research subjects for physiotherapy students. Given several seminars to the students and faculty members in the field of research and recent trends in research. Also I am working as the co-ordinator for final year physiotherapy students. As administrative duties I have been actively working as quality co-ordinator, exam co-ordinator and also as research co-ordinator.

Doctor of Philosophy from Manipal University India. My research project was in the area of studying intrinsic foot muscle morphology and spatiotemporal gait parameters in type 2 diabetes mellitus using musculoskeletal ultrasonography. As part of this project I had also conducted a cohort study to analyze musculoskeletal complications in 700 type 2 diabetes mellitus subjects. This report contributed a major data on musculoskeletal complications in type 2 diabetes population and clinical reasoning behind this complication which would help these populations in preventing these prevalent complications. While pursuing PhD I was actively involved in several successful grant writing. As a result of this project, universities across India and abroad recognized my research work and I was invited as the resource person for the conferences and workshops. On successful completion of my PhD project I have published several national and international publications. I have also completed research projects in the field of low level laser therapy, diabetes mellitus, exercise testing and prescription. At the university level I have organized several conferences, workshops and seminars across the India which made me more confident and accurate at my work.
