A progressive career spanning more than 25  years has provided a highly developed, qualified working knowledge in FEED, PMC (Project Management Consultant),   EPC Sector (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) , EPCM in Petrochemical, Refinery and Oil & Gas industries, and Equipment manufacturing industries. 

 

Worked in PMC (Project Management Consultant) in Kuwait Oil Company and Equate projects involved from FEED, Design, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning in Kuwait. Providing technical /Quality input during FEED, Technical Tender Bids, and ITB evaluation. Reviewing / Witnessing all Contractor’s quality and testing. Carrying out surveillance activities on the Contractor’s construction activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures and Contract requirements and initiative of  Flawless Startup initiative. 

 

A thorough understanding and implementation of Quality Management  & Technical Assurance Systems which play a significant part in achieving Project Delivery. Broad knowledge of the development and implementation of Quality Management systems to ISO 9001, Coordination with independent bodies for QMS registration, internal/external audits, project quality plan preparation, supplier quality plan / Procedures review, vendor supplier capability assessments Assessment Audit, Input to Technical Tender and Technical Bid Tender Evaluation, Contract Reviews & Clarifications, continuous improvement initiatives. Experienced in embedding Technical Integrity into processes and procedures and development and implementation of Technical Integrity Verification Schemes. 

 

Experience in managing complete project life cycle of project processes from FEED, initial project conception, design, and procurement, through to construction /commissioning/completion, final close-out, and handover of Project.

 

Managerial and supervisory experience of PMC, EPC Contractors, and Subcontractors/Suppliers. Vendor Audits are conducted in various geographical locations in UK, Europe, Middle East, and South East Asia  . Experience also allows me to be able to communicate effectively with contacts from different cultural backgrounds.

Experience

Management Skill: 

  • Providing leadership to the Quality Management team and ensuring compliance with quality management system
  • Establishing the Quality Policy, and Quality objectives, Conducting the Management Reviews, and reporting to Top Management for determination of the suitability, effectiveness, adequacy, and improvement of Quality Management System
  • Working with senior management, functional managers, and other personnel to provide technical support and ensure that efficient and adequate Quality Management systems and processes are in place.
  • Performing Contract review and initiating pre – bid & Post-bid clarification with COMPANY
  • Involving in Engineering, Integrity, and Key Assurance Review 
  • Involvements in risk identification, assessment, elimination and control
  • Performing Internal / External Audit at  Home Office, Supplier and Sub-Contractor
  • Providing Quality resources and ensuring competency of personnel at the Home office, Manufacturing locations and Site Construction.
  • Actively participating and taking leadership in the development and implementation of Quality initiatives, programs, systems, best practices (Toolbox talk & Seminar), Quality Training, problem-solving, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Objective, Target and goals setting at the Home office, Site Construction and Supplier locations.
  • Assure the organizational structure, corporate procedures, processes, and resources for the Quality Management System and implementation of quality management are adequate to meet the needs of the business and conform to all applicable regulatory requirements and provide Quality support during engineering, procurement, and construction.
  • Assigns expertise in the fields of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Welding, NDE, Civil, Mechanical, E&I.
  • Ensure quality records are maintained, perform construction site quality compliance audits, subcontractor quality assessments prior to selection, and support company construction quality personnel with regard to quality issues 
  • Monitor monthly KPIs, Quality performance and trend analysis on a global level documentation and understanding for bench marking and lessons learned
  • Analyse trends of all measurement data to assist in setting targets, future planning and in establishing action plans for improvement and effective follow-up to verify compliance.
  • Identify critical areas for QMS, Quality reviews and develop relevant monthly KPI's for assessment 
  • Provide feedback to the senior management on the quality performance of vendors with supporting evidence improvement business and its customers.
  • Support investigations/testing related to product complaints or failures, field actions, implementation of process improvements, and process validation requirements.
  • Publish Quality Alerts on significant Quality issues which may cause an impact on schedule and time.
  • Mentor and develop Quality team to the highest professional and performance standards through appropriate training and accreditation by implementing a competency development programme within the function such that it can effectively align with and support the Quality strategy and goals for Operational Effectiveness, Innovation, Talent Development, etc.
  • Major decision-making authority related to Quality Management System development and implementation, Quality resource levels, implementing corrective and preventive actions etc.
    • Sound knowledge and extensive exposure in developing the specification, Welding, NDT, Painting, and Equipment Performance Testing (FAT)

 

Technical Skill:

  • Extensive Auditing skills on Processes and Products (System and Technical Audit).
  • In-Service Inspection, Rating, Repair and Alteration of Pressure Vessel, Storage Tank, and Piping in accordance with API 

 

Key Quality Function Responsibility on Projects

  • Preparation, and Review of  Quality Manual, Project Quality Plan, Inspection Test Plan, Quality procedures, Method Statement / Works instructions, and monitor implementation 
  • Preparation of Audit Schedule, Conducting (Quality Management System and Technical Audit) the Internal and External Audit at Home office, Supplier locations, and construction Site. Follow up on Corrective Action and Preventive Actions. 
  • Involvements in Risk Management, Risk identification, Assessment, Elimination, and Control.
  • Close coordination with CLIENT representatives, Focus on Customer requirements, Conducting Customer feedback interviews, and taking corrective & preventive action against Customer compliments.
  • Establishing the Quality Policy, and Quality objectives, Conducting the Management Reviews, and reporting to Management for determination of the suitability, effectiveness, adequacy, and improvement of Quality Management System 
  • Identify KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators), Implement, Measure, and ensure that the targets are achieved and Analyzed
  • Ensuring that adequate Quality resources (QA / QC Engineers, Inspectors and TPI) at Manufacturing place and Site Construction.
  • Participation of Engineering Review: Hazards Identification(HAZID), Fire Explosion Hazard Analysis(FHA), Fire & Explosion Risk Assessment (FERA). Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA), Hazards and Operability (HAZOP), Safety Integrity Level (SIL), RAM (Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability), 3D Model Review, and Constructability Review.
  • Performing Contract review, initiating pre-bid and post-bid clarification through Technical Query and Technical Deviation Requests with Customers. 
  • Evaluation, Assessment, and Approval of VENDOR / or SUPPLIER / SUBCONTRACTOR and monitor their performance for service and product.
  • Interface with purchasing/contract department to establish Quality and Technical requirements for Suppliers / Sub Contractors with respect to COMPANY requirements, CONTRACTOR product specifications, inclusion of Lesson Learnt from previous quality issues for similar products, Supplier Quality Requirements and include into Request for Quotation (RFQ), Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Order (PO).  Initiating of Technical Query and assessment of Technical bid Evaluation of Supplier and Sub-Contractors.    
  • Vendor management: Conducting Pre Inspection Meetings at (UK, USA, Europe, Asia, etc.,) supplier’s location based on the criticality rating of product, document review and approval, Response to Supplier’s Concession Request (CR), Managing and organizing TPI at suppliers location, and issuing Inspection Release. Providing internal and supplier quality training concerning quality awareness and improvement of the product and processes. 

 

Field Experience at manufacturing location and Construction site

  • Fabrication, Welding, NDT (RT, UT, MPT, LPT), Installation, Testing, Hot Tapping, LT (Valve Low Temperature Testing ) and FET (Valve Fugitive Emission Testing ) Testing, participate in Type Acceptant Testing (TAT as per SHELL) along with SHELL, Hydrostatic / Pneumatic / Leak Testing, Painting / Lining / Insulation of Pressure vessel, Reactor, Heat Exchanger, Column,  Storage Tank, Valves (manual and actuated valves) etc., 
  • Mechanical Running Testing, Performance Testing / Factory Acceptance Testing , and Final Skid Inspection of Rotary Equipment (Compressor, Turbine, Expander, Pump, Meeting Skid, Heater  etc.,), and modularized skids.
  • In-Service Inspection, Rating, Repair and Alteration of Pressure Vessel, Storage Tank, and Piping as per API requirements. 
  • Preparation, Review and submission of Project Dossier to COMPANY including MDR (manufacturing Data Report)
  • Management of Quality Assurance and Control during Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Site Pre commissioning and commissioning phase.
    • Fabrication, Inspection, and release of Modularized Skid packages, Compressors, Pumps, Exchanges, Reactor / Re-Generator, Distillation column, Pressure vessel (Lined,  Cladded 316/Alloy 825/625), Jacked pressure vessels & Piping, Instrument and Plant Compressor packages, De-salters packages, Separators, Hydro cyclone , Meeting Skids, Gas Dehydration Unit (GDU), Condensate Dehydration Decoloring  Unit (CDDU) packages, PIG Launcher / Receiver, Nitrogen Generation, Flare packages, Heating, Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Integrated Control Safety System ICSS system, etc

 

Handled following equipment / packages: 

  • Pre-Assembled Pipe racks (With Pipes / insulation and supports) , Storage Tanks (Open Top, Fixed Roof & Floating Roof 
  • Fabrication & Installation of Cladded (Corrosion Resistance Alloy with SS316 & Alloy 625/825) Pressure vessels, Valves, pipes , fittings and Field Installation of GRE Piping / 3 LPE Coating, Fiberglass lining

 

  • Extensive experience  and familiar  working with ANSI, ASME,  ASTM,  API , ISO, BS EN, MSS, PFI and SSPC standards 
  • Extensive exposure and working with COMPANY Specification: Kuwait National Petroleum Corporation (KNPC), Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), SHELL(DEP’s, MESC), Petroleum Development Company (SPs, PRs, & ERDs), PETROCANADA, Dow Chemical, and Joint Operations (CHEVRON TEXACO / SAUDI ARAMCO)
