I am a sustainability professional currently working in capacity as an ESG Research Analyst analysing the sustainability performance of corporate-level firms.

I am passionate about sustainability, keen to learn about it and take interest in applying gained knowledge to address sustainability challenges.

I have worked in projects related to assisting clients in providing then useful decision-making information about the ESG related performance of global corporate-level entities. I am presently working in a project which requires understanding of various standard GHG Accounting and Sustainability Reporting frameworks in order to understand principles and concepts applied along with methodologies used by companies in preparing GHG inventory and also analysing their GHG emissions reduction targets performance, tracking GHG emissions performance along with strategies applied, initiatives, policies, measures and actions taken to minimise and/or offset negative impacts on environment. 

In the past I also had worked on a project related to understanding and analysing European Union Taxonomy Regulation performance of Non-financial Corporate Entities and providing such performance related information in a comprehensive manner to clients.

During my Post Graduation, I developed an interest in the energy sector, particularly in renewable energy and energy transition. This particular interest led me to pursue internships in the energy sector and I did my internships at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IndianOil) and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Power Private Limited (Siemens Gamesa) to get a first-hand work experience in both the facets, conventional (fossil fuels) and non-conventional (renewable), of energy sector. At IndianOil, I developed an understanding on major challenges faced by oil and gas sector such as reducing air pollution and energy transition. I came to know about various solutions pursued by oil and gas sector to address these challenges including green transportation such as electric vehicles and biofuels. Further exploring and studying into depth on these solutions, I gained knowledge on electric vehicle (EV) and the essential and complementary infrastructure required by the EV industry along with the scope of use of biofuels in transportation vehicles. At Siemens Gamesa, I worked on a project related to solar plants which contributed to increase in my knowledge on various aspects of solar energy and solar plants including technical aspects of a solar plant.

I opted to study a course in the field of sustainability because of my interest in sustainability. I believe sustainability is relevant and a pressing requirement in present times. Issues related to environment and sustainability such as climate change and natural resource depletion are, at present, a major challenge to global community. These issues can raise concerns at large scale, if not managed properly. Hence, I find sustainability a new and unique concept in modern times to address such concerns. I have a keen interest to know, learn and understand applications of sustainability in the existing and future global infrastructure encompassing all industrial and service sectors. 

I am acquainted with number of sustainability concepts, applications and works such as Sustainability Reporting (Reporting Framework such as GRI Standards, Materiality Analysis, Corporate Sustainability Reporting), preparing Greenhouse Gas Inventory, Renewable Energy Management, Circular Economy, Waste Management, ESG Ratings and Scores, Environment Management System, Nature Based Solutions, Sustainable Finance, Carbon Finance and Carbon Credits, to name a few. I have gained knowledge and developed an understanding in these arenas through my education in Sustainability Management, internships done and work experience gained.
