Nilanjan Chatterjee

Nilanjan Chatterjee is a historian of Modern South Asia whose work focuses on nationalism, curriculum politics, and the intellectual history of postcolonial South Asia. He holds degrees from Presidency University and Jadavpur University and is completing his Ph.D. at Presidency University on the politics of history textbooks and identity formation in Bangladesh. He has taught across Calcutta University, Bangalore University, and Karnataka State Law University, and currently serves as Assistant Professor and Head of the Arts Department at the Universal School of Administration, Bangalore. His publications appear in the Indian History Congress Proceedings, Itihas Prabandhamala, and several edited volumes with Manohar, Springer, and others. Alongside teaching and research, he contributes to public pedagogy through a series of online lectures aimed at undergraduate and competitive-exam learners.
