Nirvan Tamhane

I’m Nirvan Tamhane, an Electronics & Telecommunication engineer specializing in Embedded Systems and IoT, graduated from NMIMS University, Mumbai (2024). Currently, I’m working as an Embedded Systems Engineer at Praan Inc. and have received the prestigious Samsung Semiconductor Fellowship.

With a robust skill set in Analog & Mixed-Signal Circuit Design, Embedded Systems and IoT development, technical documentation, programming in Embedded C, C++, Python, and mobile app development using Dart. I excel at translating concepts into innovative real-world systems. My work spans domains such as BLE-powered health monitoring wearables, electric mobility dashboards, low-dropout voltage regulators, and modular IoT-enabled solar systems.

My hands-on experience spans impactful internships and research projects—ranging from Analog IC Design at Takshila VLSI, to developing a UV-C based pathogen elimination system at Biopsin PTE. LTD., leading embedded hardware design at Databyte Services and Systems, and contributing to one of India’s most affordable electric wheelchair conversion adaptors. 

These opportunities have honed my skills in project management, teamwork, and innovative problem-solving. I’ve collaborated with organizations across India, Germany, and Singapore and worked with tools like Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys Sentaurus TCAD, ESP-IDF, and AWS IoT Core. I’ve also led two fully sponsored industry projects from concept to prototype, emphasizing manufacturability and usability. 

Notable Achievements:

• Secured two international internships at embedded systems product startups in Germany and Singapore. 

• Top 5 National Rank out of 1,651 participants—including industry professionals and researchers—at the Open-Source Circuit Design & Simulation Hackathon. 

• Winner, Research Embedded Symposium 2024 for Ridesense, selected from over 200+ research articles from 17 top Indian universities.

• Selected among the top applicants for the Samsung Semiconductor ISWDP Fellowship Program (2,700+ applicants) and ranked among the top trainees in India with a 96% score. 

• Interviewed by Pravasi Sandesh, a regional news outlet, for innovation in affordable electric mobility (e-rickshaw project).

I have done my Bachelor of Technology in Electronics & Telecommunication specializing in Embedded Systems and IoT from NMIMS University, Mumbai (2024)
