Roles and Responsibilities:

Synopsis: Worked as a Technical Writer/Illustration at L&T Technology Services with  significant contribution to team production and deliverables by undertaking the following roles  and responsibilities:

• Analyze the input to understand the documentation requirement, considering the target audience. Gather information and downloading BOM parts from credible source.
• Perform a structure review of the document as per the latest template to design the document according to the style guide.
• Work with SMEs for resolution of queries and also suggest changes/improvements to the existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.
• Perform the authoring task using Arbortext Editor, Adobe Frame Maker and Windchill (CMS). If required by importing and exporting 3D models using IsoDraw CAD Process7.3. 
• Updating Graphics in Adobe Illustrator for Adobe Frame Maker documents. 
• Making strict use of Simplified Technical English through out the document.
• Edit the content for any error like grammar, punctuation and avoid using jargon etc.
• Perform the self-review and peer review of document for clearness, conciseness, and adherence to the client style guide to ensure the quality.
• Coordinate directly with SMEs and Onsite requesters for inputs, queries and feedback.
• Active participation throughout the workflow starting from the Input analysis and estimation of the activity to the final delivery of all manuals.
• Filling up of Timesheet on daily basis for proper records of daily hours spent on particular documents.
• Create/update lessons learnt as per feedback/suggestions received from customer to avoid repeated mistakes for next set of documents.
• Create/update complete data of input/output for QA audit, Senior management review, Closure meetings and individual performance report card for internal growth and development.
