Dear Sir,
I am currently working on Product/Systems development for domains like power distribution and medical fields. These systems are constituting of data measurement like temperature, current and communicates over Internet and Bluetooth (BLE). My last 2 projects are like:


Projects:

  1. Designed on-line monitoring system for high MVA transformer’s OIL and Winding Temperature monitoring system – IOT enabled.

Problems pertaining to Transformers
The constraints to a maintenance-free system are generally overheating, overloading
and dielectric breakdown. Overheating degrades windings’ insulations into a brittle structure
with compromised integrity. This paves way of vulnerability for the next fault
current to pass to shock the windings, form a crack in the insulation and, hence, an internal
transformer fault, altogether. Dielectric breakdowns occur due to high voltage stress and can
be tackled, just like overheating and overloading with the help of the right monitoring device.

Solutions provided (Hardware, Software, IOT and Analytics)
The On-Line OTI/WTI monitoring and activation of cooling mechanism prevents
overheating, Overload Current monitoring and alarm system prevents overloading, the
Feedback systems understand dielectric breakdowns.

     2. Designed Digital Thermometer – Bluetooth enabled:

The thermometer reads human body temperature and communicates the human body temperature over Bluetooth (BLE) to the external world (Bluetooth transmitter).

A mobile application in Mobile Phone/Tab receives the human body temperature (BLE receiver).

One of the applications is that, the mobile application that receives the human body temperature could be communicated to the cloud server where the patient’s temperature could be monitored online and could be subjected to analytics.

It is a multi-dimensional analysis tool to analyse the user behaviour like their usage and spending with respect to many dimension like Time Of Day, Period Of Week and etc.,

Systems Developer (Lead Role), Mar 1995 to Jul 2007

● The Data Mining application was conceptualised and developed with a view to cut down on time taken for decision-making activities and for quality drive manufacturing. The Data Mining applications run from predictive modeling to deviation detection. Developed an application that provides the variable associations (Patterns) that likely causes the drive to fail at test process. Provides patterns for Top 5 fail codes and for overall fail codes.
● Developed an application for providing the cluster of similar characteristic drive from a known reference drive in real time. Basically this application uses the drive attributes, parametric from drive manufacturing test process and data mining techniques.
● In Manufacturing, a lot of critical parameters have to be monitored in order to sustain a good yield. Upon a periodical monitoring, only 1% or 2% of the monitoring time may be useful, only if any of the parameter goes out of control. So, regular parameter monitoring wastes 98% of monitoring time. In order to overcome this problem, designed a system, which would monitor continuously the parameters and triggers as and when any of the parameter goes out of control. The application software consists of a Rule editor where the users can edit the rule. It consists of a query engine, rule Inference engine and mailing engine also
● Responsibilities: Development of Rule inference Engine, Rule Editor, Query Engine & Mailing Engine
● Scope: In Hard disk, to position the read/write head in a specified location, a closed loop servo position control system is used. The error correction signal would be checked in the feedback path, to bring the read /writes head to a correct position. If the amplitude of the error correction signal exceeds the threshold level, this means the indication of unstable servo position and fails the system. So, this kind of hard disk will fail in test process and requires technically qualified people to manually scope the signal and diagnose the drive. Automated the diagnostic.
● A complex production schedule software is at server side computes all the time. The client communicates with server program using Socket programming. The user has given option to view the schedule in excel spreadsheet and to store in the local workstation.
Responsibilities
● Reported to the Senior Manager - IT (FIS); headed a team of 2 members; provided solutions to the business problems in terms of data mining applications.
● Interacted with Client for requirement gathering, system analysis and finalisation of requirement specifications (technical and functional). Contributed to the preparation of SRS documents and finalisation of project proposal.
● Designed software process model and architecture; developed, debugged and trouble-shooted the software.
● Involve in the preparation of test plans and finalisation of various validation criteria.
● Set up test environment for testing the product developed. Carried out testing as per test plans, reviewed test plans and test results.
