Satish Nanaji Gahukar can be aptly described as a talented professional, with exceptional functional as well as managerial skills and zeal for continuous improvement in his professional endeavors. At present, he is working with the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) as a consultant. Before ICRISAT, he has worked with Nageshwara Charitable trust, Nagpur from Sept’13 to May’15 as an Assistant Project Coordinator; here he spearheaded all field staff of 16 project location i.e Seoni and Chindwara Dist of Madhya Pradesh, Rajnandgaon dist of Chattisgarh and Amravati and Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra. Mr. Gahukar has worked in NABARD Funded WADI projects under Tribal Development Fund, Motivating the tribal farmers to elevate their livelihood & promoted their standard of living and Plantation of Horticulture crops in wastelands. He has commenced his career with International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), Patancheru, Telangana as a Special Project Technician in Research Program 1 – Resilient Drylands System in ICRISAT (Nov’07 to Sept’13). Here in addition to his significant professional achievements, he has handled 6 NGOs in 14 locations and coordinating their time at ground level and accomplishes the work plan and achieves the various activities in the given time frame. Notably, it has been awarded by the Central Water Commission of India for best innovative practices and for In Situ water conservation for the Soybean crop. Later adopted and promoted by Govt. department of Agriculture and line department. Satish is revered for his strong work ethics and a focused approach.
