I am P.A. Shantanu a freshly graduated Ph.D (Pharmacology & Toxicology) from NIPER Guwahati and a resident of Delhi. 

I am interested in the position as the job positions involving drug discovery research, toxicology, and scientific writing   closely matches my research work. 

My research work involved screening, identifying, and establishing the anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective activities of New Chemical Entities in cell and animal based experiments. Performing pharmacokinetic and toxicity studies of the final lead molecule. I am well versed with molecular biology, molecular techniques, OECD guidelines, & softwares (like graphpad prism, Image J, Schrodinger, ChemBiodraw, MS office & EndNote). 

I also have a prior experience in generating drug-resistant cell line, primary cultures of hepatocyte & PBMCS for drug discovery research.

Ph.D. (Pharmacology & Toxicology)

I am a fresher, however I have extensive experience in handling both primary and secondary mammalian cell cultures and animal models used for drug discovery. My work involved Screening, identifying, and establishing anticancer,  anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective activities of New Chemical Entities in cell and animal based models. Finally, conducting pharmacokinetics and toxicity studies of the final lead molecule.

My work in Master’s and Ph.D. programs involved the generation of
ideas/hypotheses, formulating and executing work plans, and performing
cell and animal-based experiments meant to identify and establish the preclinical efficacy of new chemical entities in the field of Oncology, inflammation, Neurodegenerative diseases and Pain.
• Maintaining and performing in vitro model development, screening, and cellbased experiments in adherent and suspension cell lines like C6, HCT-116,
HT-29, PLC-PRF5, SNU-987, HepG2, K562, & MOLT-4
• Performing dye-based and immunostaining fluorescent and confocal
imaging experiments
• Animal handling, dosing, and establishing disease models of Pain (CCI and
acetic acid), Rheumatoid arthritis (CFA), Ulcerative colitis (DSS),
Parkinson's (MPTP+), Alzheimer's Disease (scopolamine), depression, and
cancer models (HCT-116 and HepG2 induced colon and hepatic cancer
xenograft model).
• Organ isolation and biochemical essays for estimating ROS, ALT, AST, &
serum creatinine
• My work required an extensive preparation of various documents and
presentations conveying our research proposal and progress reports for
various extra-mural funding agencies.
• My work also involved writing reviews and research manuscripts,
communicating our ideas and findings from our lab in various international
peer-reviewed journals.
• I also prepared protocols, SOPs, posters, and booklets during my PhD tenure.
• My involvement in multiple projects and exposure to state-of-the-art
instruments and techniques like behavioral assays, confocal microscopy.
flowcytometry and western blotting has given me good exposure to various
genetics and molecular signaling cascade that result in various Immunology,
oncology, and neurological disorders.
