Sneha Palekar

My name is Sneha Palekar and I am an Advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa.

I am 24 years old and I reside in Mumbai. 

 

My expertise is in trademark prosecution, including filing, registration, and opposition, and IP transactions, including due diligence and commercialisation of IP through licensing, non-disclosure agreements, and technology transfer agreements.

My expertise is also in Technology, Media, and Telecommunication with specific knowledge in IT transactions and software development contracts, data protection and privacy, and consumer and e-commerce transactions.

Furthermore, I have had exposure to handling intellectual property disputes through my LLM programme, which has enabled me to develop IP-specific technical skills such as conducting trademark clearance searches.

Moreover, in terms of practical experience, I have ample work experience in law firms in Mumbai, Pune, and London, where I honed my analytical and research skills, collaborated with teams for projects, directly communicated with the stakeholders, and assisted in the filing of suits in the Courts of Mumbai. Through these experiences, I have acquired valuable skills in communicating effectively through memorandums, responding to client inquiries, and drafting legal advice. 

Therefore, I am confident that I have an impeccable record of academics, specialised expertise in the field of Intellectual property, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, which will make me a suitable candidate for this position. 

I am a BA.LLB graduate from ILS Law College, Pune, and have graduated holding rank 2 in the Savitribai Phule Pune University in 2021. After that, I pursued an LLM programme in Intellectual Property Law from the Queen Mary University of London and recently graduated in April 2023 with distinction.
