Suhena Ghosh

I’m Suhena Ghosh, a final year Civil Engineering student from Thakur College of Engineering & Technology. My average CGPA is 9.26 as of semester 7. I am academically sound in various fields of Civil Engineering. To name a few - Design of Steel Structures, Quantity Survey & Estimation, Valuation, Advanced Concrete Technology, Theory of RCC Structures, Civil Engineering Drawing. I have beginners knowledge in using AutoCAD, ETABS, Google SketchUp, and I am quite efficient in using MS Office, MS Word, Canva.

I am a passionate person who is keen towards putting her academic & technical knowledge into use for real life situations for the betterment of civil infrastructure advancement. Due to being a part of various clubs, committees and internship opportunities, they have inculcated public skills, time management, reliability, team playing & leadership qualities. My attention to detail is what makes me stand out as I take that genuinely and put forth my best work. Looking forward to collaborate & make connections that will be beneficial for us!

Structural Audit Intern : Primary responsibilities included conducting a proper site inspection of G+5 buildings that consisted of internal audit (every flat), external audit, staircase and passage audit, terrace audit. Along with that, observation & identification of the damages, defects, etc. that were non-structural & structural. Studying the non-destructive test results of the structure and providing with proper suggestion for building repair or in severe cases building evacuation. Secondary responsibilities included administrative work like data entry of the images that were clicked at site, observations with explanation, entry of NDT results, and various other aspects required to form a detailed report of the structure. Along with that, assisting in checking the estimates, maintaining the work orders as per its urgency, completion progress, conversing with the building owners and their concerns about the structure that was being audited.

Overall, this internship provided me with better communication skills, management, administrative support, technical knowledge & implementation of structural audit, working as a team, time management and reliability. 

My average CGPA is 9.26 as of semester 7 of BE (Civil Engg.) My professional elective subjects were Building Services & Repairs, Advanced Concrete Technology, and Design of Steel Structures. These subjects helped me understand in what ways a structure can be constructed, maintained and which kind of steel structures are used in real life along with their purpose.
