Sujoy Mandal

I am Sujoy Mandal, a highly skilled professional with a strong academic background in Industrial Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, and Metallurgical Engineering. With a B.Sc and M.Sc from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, Calcutta University, and an M.Tech from IIT Bombay, I possess a comprehensive understanding of materials science. Currently working as Junior Scientist in Ashapura group of Industries and previously worked as a Quality Control In-Charge at Ceramat Private Limited (A Tata Steel Enterprise), and as a Technical Engineer in Ants Ceramics Pvt. • Operate and maintain advanced analytical instruments, including XRD, light-scattering and Sedigraph particle size analyzers, SEM, TGA-DSC, BET surface area analyzer, and XRF spectrometers. • Draft comprehensive test reports summarizing findings, trends, and recommendations for the R&D team. • Develop and deliver hands-on training sessions for new users on instrument operation and data interpretation. • Perform routine quality testing on a variety of ceramics and refractory materials (kaolin, bentonite, bauxite, Alumina, Dolomite etc), ensuring compliance with internal and industry specifications. • Prepare and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for instruments and analytical methods.

• Led material characterization for raw inputs, packaging, and finished goods(Hydroxyapatite and β-TCP) using Rigaku XRD, Beckman Coulter particle size analysis, pH/TDS/conductivity meters, SEM, TEM, and ICP techniques. • Collaborated with R&D to troubleshoot and optimize product formulations, leveraging batch manufacturing record (BMR) data to drive process improvements. • Oversaw final release of Certificates of Analysis (COA), ensuring all products met stringent quality and regulatory requirements. • ISO 13485:2016 implementation: conducted internal audits as a certified internal auditor and trained production teams on compliance standards. • Coordinated in-line quality inspections across production and packing areas, identifying out-of-specification (OOS and OOT) trends and leading root-cause investigations. • Managed quality documentation and workflows within SAP QM, maintaining full traceability and real-time reporting.
