Sumaira Banday

I have completed my PhD from NIT, Srinagar. In my research wok, I developed self lubricating nano coatings and studied its mechanical, tribological and adhesion property at nano scale level. I am excited to share and continue to explore this methodology and collaborate with your department faculty to expand its potential and to explore new techniques. In addition my dissertation research, other areas that interest me for my future research are developing different types of composites as well as coatings.

Currently, I am working as Lecturer n Institute of Technology, University of Kashmir, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, India.  Moreover, I have three years and 5 months teaching experience as a Lecturer. I am extremely interested in obtaining Assistant Professor post, where I can contribute to its focus on research work and lead campus and professional service activities.

I found that my professional experience as a Lecturer provided me with a broad view that is useful in assisting students with projects and assignments. These experiences have built my confidence and an interest in teaching and I look forward to the opportunity to not only teach existing courses, but also work to develop new ones.
