With over three decades of progressive leadership across global organizations like Siemens, General Electric, and Danieli, I excel in driving sales, optimizing operations, and spearheading strategic initiatives. My expertise spans across diverse sectors of electrics & industrial automation, including steel & metals, marine & offshore, oil & gas, power and cranes & material handling, supported by robust P&L management and a track record of delivering substantial business growth. As Executive Vice President at Danieli India Ltd. I led global sales and operations across South Asia, achieving significant milestones such as securing major power distribution and automation systems contracts. During this time , I orchestrated the automation business’s expansion with comprehensive responsibility for sales, manufacturing, and HR functions, harmonizing global operations and enhancing market penetration in APAC. I also played pivotal roles in Crompton Greaves' foray into drive systems setting up the company’s first low voltage drives factory in India and acquiring significant large drive system contracts. Converteam merged with GE and I was in the leadership role driving strategic sales initiatives and integrating the acquired business to strengthen market presence. The acquistion of the first marine diesel-electric propulsion system contract in India for GE was during this period. The major time spent in my corporate journey was with Siemens where I was exposed to various roles including dealer sales, system Integrator networks, profit centre management, projects and quality , finally culminating in my leadership role in establishing and setting up the new marine & offshore business for Siemens in India. Parallely, I was inducted into the global project management team of Siemens and I was instrumental in formulating and rolling out the project management guidelines , PM@Siemens, for Siemens’ industrial drives systems business in India. An alumnus of Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi ,Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, I am also a certified Independent Director , committed to advancing corporate governance and operational excellence with a keen interest and knowledge on Digital Business Transformation.
