  • Supervising the budget for revenues & costs for the Housekeeping Department; developing systems & procedures to achieve the highest cost-efficiency and guest/patient satisfaction
  • Establishing the service standards for cleanliness, amenities & maintenance in rooms & public areas and ensuring adherence to the same; ensuring that facilities meet the regulations and environmental, health & security standards
  • Checking the productivity standards and scheduling the staff to optimize manpower
  • Monitoring various activities such as cleaning of rooms & public areas, pest control, hydraulic glass cleaning, horticulture and laundry functions
  • Implementing the housekeeping policies and standardizing systems/processes; ensuring smooth and efficient operations; checking the quality of housecleaning in guest/patient rooms with particular attention
  • Inspecting the entire premises for upkeep & maintenance of the same
  • Indenting & checking the distribution of all guest room supplies; ensuring minimum wastage & pilferage
  • Coordinating with the Purchase Department & suppliers of housekeeping cleaning agents, guest supplies & equipment and maintaining the housekeeping inventory; managing the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health & safety standards
  • Managing the inventory of supplies, linen and equipment; processing supplier bills and preparing comparative statements of the vendors; reviewing utility consumption and striving to minimize costs
  • Briefing the Housekeeping Supervisors, Linen Room Supervisors and Housekeeping Attendees
  • Imparting training to the staff to maximize productivity and maintaining all relevant records for the same
