Research Assistant/Data Associates - Data Analysis for Social Sector, PGP DM, ISDM

About PGP-DM


The Post Graduate Program in Development Management (PGP DM) is ISDM's flagship initiative designed by leading academics and practitioners from both the development and management sectors.

The year-long program blends ideas of development with concepts of management, combines in-class sessions with a two-week field component on "Realizing India" and promotes collaborative group work.


Purpose of Role
The work broadly revolves around in‐person and online activities related to the course on Data Analysis under PGP DM. Activities include course development, course delivery and assessment, curating course materials, LMS support, and data

analytics. This is a course-based engagement with attachment to a specific faculty over the time period.


Responsibilities:


  • Designing, and developing contextually relevant content for the course on Data Analysis for the Social Sector in collaboration with the faculty members.
  • Tutoring students in data analysis and visualization tools like Excel etc.
  • Assessing the needs and skill levels of learners and adapting teaching materials to meet those needs

Competences and skills preferred

  • Proficiency in Mathematics and Statistics
  • Expertise in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, R, Tableau or other data analysis software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‐solving and written communication skills.
  • Project coordination and management skills with ability to adhere to deadlines

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Master's Degree in relevant fields of Mathematics, Statistics, Social Science, Liberal Arts or Management.
  • Certificate of any specific training, or course related to data and business analytics
  • Experience in teaching, coaching, or mentoring others in data analysis or data science

Note:
This is a course-based engagement with attachment to a specific faculty over the time period of one year.
