The Role:

This role is designed to support the India Programme in managing and streamlining the team's projects and deliverables.

It involves closely coordinating with key external and internal stakeholders, including the finance department and the Programme Assurance and Learning team, to ensure projects align with CBI's strategic objectives and governance standards.

The role will ensure that the India Team's work is organized, prioritized, and executed efficiently, facilitating robust programme delivery in line with CBI's overarching strategies.

Moreover, this role will entail the management of events and convenings within India, handling all aspects from planning to execution.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with the Deputy Head to prioritise work, proposals and resources for the India team.
  • Put together project plans for all major projects to outline key milestones and timelines.
  • Liaise with other Teams within the Climate Bonds Initiative, project partners and external stakeholders to ensure effective coordination of projects.
  • Coordinate the Team's weekly calls, help put together its agenda, and chair the call when needed.
  • Put together project updates, take note of technical meetings, summarise them in a comprehensible way and support the preparation of presentations.
  • Manage documents to make sure it is kept up to date with all the relevant information required by the Team. This will also involve conducting research, contacting relevant stakeholders and summarising information in a succinct way.
  • Work with team and Deputy Head to update and maintain online project management system.
  • Work with Deputy Head on strategy and direction of team to ensure resources are sufficient to meet demand.
  • Work with the Programme Assurance and Learning Team to coordinate budgets and the Team's documents related to its Project Development Framework.
  • Creation of event proposals and sponsorship packages and execution of events from planning to coordination, including roundtables, dinners and conferences.
  • Event management tasks such as coordination of teams, welcoming guests, directing event setup, communicating with staff, and organising vendors.
  • External liaison with clients and suppliers, speakers, sponsors and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work flexibility depending on the time/day of events and convenings.

Requirements:


Qualifications and Experience:


Essential:


  • Experience in project management.
  • Stakeholder engagement and management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience in working with a team with a multicultural background and across time zones.
  • High proficient in working with project management tools, MS Excel, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge management skills.
  • Ability to work in close collaboration with team members.
  • Demonstratable experience in organising and planning events.

Desirable:


  • Knowledge of climate policy and finance.
  • Experience and knowledge of financial markets and investing.
  • Experience of corporate event environments.
