Basic Information

Position Title - Associate

Experience Level - 1-3 years

Department - Investment Banking

Location - Mumbai

Job Purpose

The role will involve supporting on research & trade related bespoke jobs in the field of FOREX and DERIVATIVES (including Interest Rate Swaps) and closely related functions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

To maintain a high degree of accuracy around trade capture, which is crucial to the firm's risk management, and accurate books & records.

Key Responsibilities

l Supporting the Risk Solutions Group (RSG) team of a leading bank in preparing market updates, pitch books, capital structure analysis, credit memos, sales memos etc.

l Preparing daily and weekly debt capital market updates, term sheets and newsletters comprising general commentary on global markets, central bank updates, secondary trading levels, yields and recent issuances

l Working on different stages of a trade life cycle including:

Managing client onboarding process
Booking of Fixed Income / Forex derivatives trades in systems
Trade confirmations, validation and reconciliation
Validating settlement advices and tracking timely delivery of the same
Tracking payments etc.
Acting as the interface between teams

l Supporting client management team on

Preparing custom MIS reports and tracking client trade portfolios

Key Competencies
l Post-Graduation in Finance or equiv. qualification (CFA, MBA (finance), CA or equiv.)

13 years of relevant work experience
Wellversed with Microsoft Office
Word, Excel and Power Point
Ability to handle pressure of working in fastpaced environment, strong problem solving skills, and willingness to work with strong dedication and commitment
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Working knowledge of databases such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Dealogic, Debtwire, LCD Comps etc. will be an added advantage
