Job Role:
Jr. Technology Specialist - Database Administrator.

Qualification criteria:

3 to 5 years or higher of strong technical experience in database management services for platforms MS SQL Server and Always On.
Good to have Oracle and Postgres DBA skills

DB Technical architecting

On Prem and Public Cloud
DB Management Services technical account management
Operational expertise to run Enterprise Class DBs on Cloud Platform
DB Technical Landscape ownership & support management
Strong technical background for overall DB Administration services
Bachelor's degree in an ITrelated field or higher
Excellent communication skills in English verbal and written
Certifications in database administration & DB management on cloud platforms
Experience with Managed services Providers on Cloud platform is desirable
Experience in any other classic RDBMS platform such as MySQL, Sybase, SAP HANA will be plus.

Typical Responsibilities/Expected technical skills:

Handle Multiple Database landscapes.
Planning and Executing DB migrations, upgrades, implementation, and ensuring steady state support models
Various technical services delivery for multiple DB landscape such as : sql,oracle,postgres,etc
Implementation of Monitoring platform for database services
Managing DB alerts on database anomalies & Incidents
Support team in routine health and Integrity Checks
DB Backup management services, Implementation of Best practices optimizations
Performance Baseline & Tuning optimization and diagnostics
High Availability & Disaster Recovery (HA & DR) Implementation
Installation & Upgrades (Including OS tuning)
Ensuring a futureproof architecture
Capacity planning
Homogeneous Data Replication services
Data Migration services
Basic DB management Scripting & Automation
Security & Compliance Checks & DB Hardening
Auditing setup and support
User Access Management & support
Trusted customer adviser for an optimal and efficient DB migrations, implementations, and operations on Public/Private Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc)
Basic knowledge on SAP on AWS and SAP on Azure
Ready to work in rotational shifts as per customer's requirements.

Other qualifications:

Strong presentation/communication/facilitation skills (oral and written)
Must be well organized, detail oriented and capable of juggling numerous priorities
Works well with teams or in a team environment, with the ability to work independently
Overall responsible for managed services SLAs like availability (proactive monitoring), Incident resolutions as per Protera SLAs, System recoverability (100%)
Backups & DR
Prepare and manage customer specific technical procedures
Prepare and present Protera standard Monthly reports with interactive discussions and detailed analysis on important KPI / Exceptions
Organize and drive adhoc customer meetings for managed services delivery
Constantly improve, continuous education and keeping uptodate with the rapidly evolving Database Products industry.
Ability to participate in projects across various teams, cultures, geographies and time zones
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
