Minimum 5 Years experience in Storage Administration

Knowledge and Experience with IBM Storage & Tape Library is desirable. If not then experience with any other storage (Dell, HP, NetApp, Hitachi etc) and should be able to learn the IBM storage technicalities quickly

:


  • Implements and manages storage systems and infrastructure components for enterprise, mission critical, computing environments
  • Provides support services for storage administration, performance tuning, monitoring and capacity planning.
  • Builds storage infrastructure to support the business environment.
  • Recommends, develops and enforces policies and procedures for maintaining the security and integrity of data
  • Install, configure and maintain storage hardware backup inclusive of physical plus virtual tape libraries or drives along with disk storage targets
  • Perform activities related to install, configure and managing SAN devices and switches.
  • Provide storage provisioning for NAS/CAS/SAN systems
  • Providing level three DAS, SAN, NAS Configuring and administering support and expertise as it relates to the storage environment as needed
  • Execute acrosssite replication of significant DR data
  • Supervise volume replication jobs and execute improvements
  • Oversee IO performance of production along with development of databases LUNs.

  • Manage Expansions, Volume creation and assignment
  • Provide architecture as well as performance recommendations to DBAs and Ops.
  • Conduct bottleneck evaluation to identify performance issues.
  • Ensure backup methods are in place as well as tested for FC LUNs.
  • Monitor Backup, Analyze Error Logs, Monitor the status of Storage and Expansions
  • Open Support Calls with OEM and coordinate with them for resolution of issues
