Financial Outcomes
Provide financial insights and facilitate key decisions related to revenue, profitability and return on investment.
Ensure timely closure of books of account on a monthly basis, and prepare MIS.
Qtr. and Annual close financials (incl. co-ordination with Statutory auditors), disclosures and preparation of statutory financials for TCL (formerly TBFL)
Timely statutory filings and reportings including under FEMA as pertaining to financials of TCL
Prepare Medium Term Plan, Annual Operating Budgets and Monthly Forecasts (LE) for Plantations (Coffee, Tea, Pepper) with inputs from cross functional teams
Customer Service
Provide inputs for Annual report of TCPL from TCL perspective
Data submission for Tax audit (incl. Transfer pricing) - as per timelines of Tax team
Co-ordinate with Cost auditors and ensure Cost audit completion
Co-ordination with Internal audit team for Qtrly audits
Internal Processes
Drive continuous improvements in process & procedures, partner in all automation/other projects to improve ways of working
Preparation of monthly business performance review decks
Oversight on clearance of GL open items (Advances, deposits, prepaid expenses, etc.)
Innovation and Learning
Analyse and identify avenues for cost optimization / revenue maximization and share with the Plantations team; collaborate with them on specific initiatives
Systems improvement in SAP (FI /CO) so as enable simpler & effective processes for data capture / reporting & analysis of key information from management decision making perspective
Action plan implementation in line with management responses to internal audit observations
What are the Critical success factors for the Role ?
Chartered Accountant
Minimum 8 years of work-experience including 4 years of experience in Corporate finance role
Thorough Knowledge of IndAS standards (in particular IndAS 41 preferred)
Strong skills SAP S/4 HANA – FICO as a business user / superuser / functional consultant
Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills
Strong analytical ability, Communication and interpersonal skills
What are the Desirable success factors for the Role ?
Prior experience of working in Plantation business is desirable (though not essential)
Good communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities
Ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize financial performance
