Supporting our people is key to WSP's strategy and as a Learning & Development team, our role is to support all of our employees across the UK by providing them with a best in class new starter experience as they onboard into their new role at WSP.

The role of the Onboarding Co-Ordinator is to support and guide our new starters through the Onboarding process.

From accepting their offer of employment, to their first day, right through their first 90 days at WSP, the Onboarding Co-ordinator will be there to support and guide our new starters, ensuring our processes are fit for purpose and deliver a 'WOW' experience.


CORE FUNCTIONS:


  • OWN THE ONBOARDING AND INDUCTION PROCESS, ENSURING NEW STARTERS COMPLETE ALL OF THEIR MANDATORY AND REQUIRED TRAINING AND COMPLETE ALL OF THEIR ONBOARDING ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE REQUIRED TIME FRAMES.
  • CONDUCTING CHECK IN CALLS WITH ALL NEW STARTERS AT REGULAR INTERVALS TO UNDERSTAND THEIR EXPERIENCE SO FAR, TO GUIDE THEM THROUGH THE PROCESS AND TO ENSURE THEY ARE BEING SET UP FOR SUCCESS.
  • MAINTAINING UP TO DATE CONTENT AND MATERIALS THAT ARE REQUIRED AS PART OF THE ONBOARDING PROCESS.
  • WORKING WITH SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS AND CONTENT OWNERS TO PRODUCE THE CONTENT AND AMEND AS APPROPRIATE.
  • ACT AS THE POINT OF CONTACT FOR OUR NEW STARTERS AND THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR INDUCTION, SUPPORTING WITH ANY ONBOARDING RELATED QUERIES.
  • Maintain new starter information on our intranet.
  • REVIEWING THE SUCCESS OF THE ONBOARDING PROCESS AND WORKING TO ADAPT, IMPROVE AND SCALE THE PROCESS IN LINE WITH BUSINESS NEED.
  • Completion of regular reports to ensure all onboarding tasks are completed and fully auditable between the HR and Learning platform and report to the wider business.
  • Design, develop and manage the feedback processes for the onboarding process. Collecting, reviewing, and utilising the feedback to inform the development of the process.

REQUIREMENTS

  • EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE IN A SENIOR ADMINISTRATOR OR CO-ORDINATOR ROLE, WORKING IN A HR OR L&D DEPARTMENT AND LOOKING AFTER NEW STARTERS.
  • A MINIMUM OF 10 GCSE'S OR EQUIVALENT INCLUDING MATHS AND ENGLISH IS DESIRABLE.
  • POSSESSES A PROFESSIONAL AND CONFIDENT MANNER.
  • CREATIVE THINKER, EXCELLENT COMMUNICATOR AND ABLE TO INTERACT WELL WITH NEW STARTERS AND LINE MANAGERS.
  • STRONG COLLABORATOR, ABLE TO DRIVE INITIATIVES THROUGH EFFECTING PLANNING AND PROBLEM SOLVING.
  • ADOPTS AN ADAPTABLE APPROACH WITH STRONG ORGANISATIONAL SKILLS AND ABILITY TO USE INITIATIVE.
  • STRONG VERBAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS, WITH EXCELLENT ATTENTION TO DETAIL.
  • EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
  • ACTS WITH INTEGRITY AND DISCRETION.
