Who You'll Work With:


  • You will work from Chennai or Bangalore and report to the India Security Specialist. Extensive liaison will also be required with the Firm Security Team. The Firm Security Team is responsible for safeguarding the wellbeing and security of our colleagues across four core firm contexts namely, travel, studies, workplaces and events.

What You'll Do:


  • You will work closely with the India Security Specialist and advise on security activities and incident management for McKinsey locations in India fostering a culture of safety and security at our offices and centers.
  • Routinely, you will partner with respective office and center leadership ensuring that offices and centers have well maintained security, safety and incident management programs.
  • Your responsibilities in each of these programs will include: tracking high risk area travel and maintaining connectivity with study teams; creating and maintaining Travel Safety Protocols (risk mitigation plans) and supporting studies/travelers with logistics options (hotel, transport, medical, security); monitoring and supporting incident threats and independently providing threat assessments on complex issues and incidents; triaging incoming questions for colleagues and sometime incidents; maintaining and ensuring data quality in ticketing systems.
  • In security operations, you will be responsible for protection of company assets, personnel and information; ensuring standardization, implementation, management, operation, and maintenance of physical security measures and security systems
  • Perimeter protection, Access Control Systems and CCTV systems; implementation of physical security measures, processes and solutions to protect firm's assets, including property, people, and information. You will also monitor potential disruptive events, weather conditions and incidents. Liaising with local law enforcement and regulatory authorities, will also be required.
    Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of previous work experience
  • A bachelor level degree preferred
  • Good command of English language with strong written and verbal communication skills: strong drafting skills, good selfediting
  • Excellent task tracking able to drive projects from beginning to end
  • Willingness to work flexible hours when incidents are in progress
  • Problem solving mindset and attention to detail
  • Outstanding service attitude and high level of professionalism
  • Strong team player but able to work independently
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Security skills
  • Security enquiry: can independently research risks, threats, hazards
  • Security assessment: can independently assess risk for studies, travel and events in most contexts
  • Incident comms: can independently manage comms for low impact incidents
  • Developing mitigation skills
  • Knowledge of geospatial mapping and other tech tools would be advantageous
  • Additional language skills are advantageous
