Gravity iLabs is an award winning, Australian innovation lab specializing in using visualization and technology to solve complex business problems.

We provide bespoke solutions to help organizations across the Strategy Execution lifecycle from formulating strategy, communicating it in an engaging fashion and sustaining it in a way that makes corporate wisdom accessible.

Our team is comprised of an eclectic mix of Technology and Business consultants, Information Designers, Visual Artists and Software Engineers.

We've worked with 100+ clients in Australia across Public and Private sector and have recently set up operations in the Middle East with our Innovation Lab based out of Bangalore, India.

StrategyDotZero is Gravity's proprietary platform intended to disrupt the way strategy is designed and executed across organisations.

We are currently looking to hire a
Chief Architect to join our dynamic Team.


Role:


As a strategy consulting firm we are working on products that solve the most important aspect of other businesses around the world, i.e building strategies for business growth.

Our product provides our clients tools to look into their existing business and build strategies and roadmaps.

The problems we are solving are challenging and interesting and our solutions have a huge impact on clients' business plans.


As an architect here, your role will be to understand the business problems (sometimes identifying the problems) and provide technical direction, design & architecture for the product while ensuring that it can scale for new business use cases.

The solutions should be scalable and performant. We intend to be a technology-first company focusing on engineering to solve our problem
- that said, you will be partly responsible for identifying the areas where we lack in technology or that can be solved better using engineering.


What You'll Do:


  • Identify the best endtoend architecture for our company
  • Provide the base frameworks and guidance for the team
  • Make decisions and choices about the technology being used or adapted across the company. Choices made should be scalable, performant, and modern.
  • Ensure the solution provided works across the different stack
  • Building an architecture for a system that is a multitenant and configurable system, that can analyze heterogeneous data from consumers
  • Build robust data pipeline architecture that can connect to customer data warehouses' secure
  • Provide leadership in the implementation of smart practices, protocols, and technologies
  • Provide leadership around team coding standards and code quality via code reviews, mentoring, and pairing
  • Identify the areas that are hampering the team's velocity in shipping faster and ensure we address them with better tools and frameworks
  • Pair programming with the devs to solve the developer hurdles
  • Write clean, testable, scalable, and welldocumented code when necessary, and also make sure the team is following the same standard while delivering solutions
  • Work closely with internal data teams and business intelligence partners to design our infrastructure.
  • Participate in product requirement review and task sizing/estimation
  • Keep pace with the everchanging world of javascript and make recommendations to keep our code base up to date with evolving best practices

What We're Looking For:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar related field such as information technology or computer engineering;
  • 10+ years of industry experience
  • Startup mindset
  • Ability to solve complex problems and identify solutions
  • Experience building multitenant Saas product
  • Strong experience in building a highly configurable selfserve solution
  • Strong experience in building datadriven systems, data pipelines, ETL systems.
  • Experience building a largescale ETL, Data lake & data warehouses using, Databrics, spark, Hadoop, Talend, Airbyte, and/or any other data platform
  • Proficiency with MERN stack and its ecosystems
