Costing Engineer - Sheetmetal (Consultant)

Eligibility Criteria:

***- Minimum 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in costing engineering components

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering with min. 4 years of experience (or) Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Tool & Die making with min 6 years of experience

Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for estimating the fabrication cost of components made by Sheet metal, Machining & Welding processes. Also, estimates cost of assemblies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers & OEMs to carry out daily tasks
  • Responsible for internal prioritizing, task planning, coordination, and execution of tasks
  • Should propose and participate in business process enhancements

Mandatory Skills:


  • Experience in estimating the cost of Sheet metal, welded structures & metal machined parts.
  • Shall have manufacturing shop floor experience (Machining and Sheet metal parts)
  • Strong exposure to pre and post fabrication processes (Heat treatment, Coating etc.)
  • Experience in costing by using spreadsheets or software (Ex: aPriori)

Desirable Skills:


  • Exposure to Complex Bill of Material management
  • Exposure to CAD (Creo / Nx)
  • Understanding of DFx
  • Good communication and analytical skills
