  • Prepare and cook a diverse range of continental dishes according to recipes or personal expertise, ensuring highquality standards in taste and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including supervising food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet customer expectations and maintain consistency.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and update menu offerings, considering seasonal availability, cost, and customer preferences.
  • Oversee inventory management, including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining proper storage conditions for all ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area, following food safety regulations and ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff members, providing guidance on cooking techniques, food presentation, and maintaining quality standards.
  • Monitor food costs and portion control to optimize kitchen efficiency and profitability while minimizing wastage.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, new ingredients, and cooking techniques to innovate and enhance menu offerings.

Requirements:_

  • Proven experience as a Continental Chef or similar role in a highvolume kitchen environment.
  • Indepth knowledge of continental cuisine, cooking techniques, and food presentation.
  • Proficiency in managing kitchen operations, including menu planning, food costing, and inventory management.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills to effectively manage kitchen staff and maintain high culinary standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and interact with other departments.
  • Certification from a culinary school or relevant training programs is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance with health regulations.
