What we do

What you will do

  • Design and implementation of architecture and operations processes

What we are looking for

Requirements

  • Provision and operation of the z/OS platform
  • Provisioning and operation of DB2 databases
  • Operation of the corresponding subsystems (Creation of a daily incremental backup and a weekly full backup of the z/OS files. Creation of a daily incremental backup and a weekly full backup of the DB2 databases using DB2 image copies)
  • Administration of the system, such as user administration for example


Included are database updates and patches within the current version of the DB, Included are database upgrades from the current version of the DB to next higher version of the DB.


  • Included are the operating system updates and patches
  • The software versions are determined based on the currently released IBM states and coordinated with the Customer.
- z/OS Software installation according to approved version list

  • Running backups; restores if necessary


  • Resource monitoring

  • CPU
  • Page files
  • RAM
  • File systems (z/OS only)
  • System restarts
  • Operating system / server access rights
- z/OS error analysis and correction

  • Installation of version changes (e.g., Version 2.1 to 2.2.)
  • Implementation of security patches
  • Execution of a restore
  • Database installation (DB2)
  • Database configuration (DB2)
  • Database management:
  • Analysis and elimination of technical database errors
  • Installation of version changes (e.g., Version 1.x to 2.x)
  • Implementation of security patches
  • User administration (creation, deletion)
