Urban Planner - Smart City Projects (Government Experience Required)

Do you have a passion for shaping the future of our cities? Are you an expert in urban planning with a proven track record working on government projects?
We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Urban Planner to join our team.

In this pivotal role, you'll play a key role in developing and implementing innovative urban planning solutions for smart city projects.

Leveraging your expertise in government procedures and collaboration, you'll work closely with stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and positive community impact.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct comprehensive site analyses and feasibility studies for smart city projects.
  • Develop and implement sustainable and resilient urban planning strategies, aligned with smart city principles.
  • Design and propose innovative solutions for infrastructure development, transportation planning, and public space utilization.
  • Collaborate effectively with government agencies, architects, engineers, and community stakeholders to ensure project alignment with regulations, timelines, and community needs.
  • Prepare and present clear and concise planning documents, including master plans, zoning regulations, and urban design guidelines.
  • Oversee project implementation and manage budgets to ensure successful project completion.
  • Monitor and evaluate project outcomes and conduct postimplementation assessments.
  • Stay current on emerging trends and best practices in urban planning and smart city development.

Qualifications:


  • Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, Architecture, or a closely related field (Bachelor's degree with significant experience may be considered).
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience working on urban planning projects, with a strong focus on government projects.
  • Proven experience with smart city planning principles and technologies.
  • Excellent understanding of government regulations, permitting processes, and public procurement procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in GIS software, urban planning software (e.g., AutoCAD), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
