6 to 8 years of experience as a MicroStrategy Administrator in a production environment
Experience in architecting, designing, and implementing complex BI solutions in large scale data management environments
Expertise in MicroStrategy. Any other BI tools are good to have
Handson experience with Object Manager, Command Manager, Metadata backup, database connectivity to MSTR
Skills in administering MicroStrategy servers for maximum efficiency and performance
Deep knowledge of BI architecture and data warehousing
Experience working with high volume databases and MPPs
Strong knowledge of one of the cloud providers
AWS / Azure / GCP
Strong skills in databases (Teradata / Postgres / MySQL) and expertise in writing SQL queries
Experience of working in BI platform migration project(s)
Skills in setting up infrastructure including BI servers, sizing / capacity planning, clustered deployment architecture and ability to provide deployment solutions
Experience in Unix scripting and handling of Windows/Linux servers
Experience in customizing / extending the default functionalities of BI tools
Experience of working in multiple business domains (e.g. BFSI, healthcare, telecom) is desirable
Experience with agile based development
Outstanding communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

Hands on experience in creation / modification of MicroStrategy roles, LDAP groups, and user interface portals, security filters
Support all MicroStrategy configuration requirements for new clients and client database migrations including working with DBAs to set up and test new data sources used by MicroStrategy, creating new MicroStrategy security roles, and setting up new user security and reporting interfaces for users.
Monitor and manage existing Business Intelligence development/production systems
Hands on experience with MicroStrategy 2019 and onwards platforms including Developer, Administrator, Object Manager, Command Manager, System Manager
Monitor subscriptions and assist with their maintenance
Troubleshoot issues identified by business and IT stakeholders
Administer (Installation and Upgrade) and support (Monitor and maintain) MicroStrategy servers (Intelligence Server, Web)
Assure all system setups, configurations, and best practices are documented using standardized documentation
Need to have advanced knowledge of SQL to analyze the Report performance and Enterprise Manager reporting
Act as MicroStrategy expert to advise team on best practices in deploying MicroStrategy for best performance and scalability
Manage client communications and alignment on BI administration and project plans
Create and keep up to date the BI standards, guidelines and best practices
Be a thought leader in the industry share knowledge, conduct training sessions, write whitepapers / case studies
