Oncologist Doctor - Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India - Devdort
Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert oncological care to patients with various types of cancer, including solid tumors and hematological malignancies.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with suspected or confirmed cancer diagnoses, including detailed medical historytaking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests such as imaging studies, biopsies, and laboratory tests.
- Diagnose cancer accurately and stage the disease according to established criteria, utilizing imaging modalities such as CT scans, MRI scans, PET scans, and bone scans.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for cancer patients, incorporating a multidisciplinary approach that may include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, or palliative care interventions.
- Administer chemotherapy and other systemic treatments, monitor treatment responses, and manage treatmentrelated side effects and complications.
- Coordinate care with surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, oncology nurses, and other allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Participate in tumor boards, multidisciplinary team meetings, and case conferences to discuss complex cases and formulate optimal treatment strategies.
- Educate patients and their families about their cancer diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis, and supportive care measures, facilitating shared decisionmaking and informed consent.
- Provide compassionate endoflife care and supportive care services to cancer patients and their families, addressing symptom management, psychosocial support, and advance care planning.
- Stay updated on advances in oncology research, treatment modalities, clinical trials, and evidencebased practices through continuous medical education and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD/DM) with specialization in Oncology from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical license to practice in Gujarat, India.
- Minimum of [insert number of years] years of clinical experience as an Oncologist, preferably in a hospital or cancer center setting.
- Proven expertise in the diagnosis, staging, and management of various types of cancer.

- Proficiency in Gujarati language.
