The Role

As a Middleware administrator,- You are responsible for infrastructure and product support for various middleware & dev-ops components like Apache Tomcat, WEBLOGIC, JBOSS, IHS, MQ, UCD, WebSEAL, TDS LDAP, Ansible & Redhat OpenShift (cloud) across various accounts.- Work with Developers and Architects in developing middleware configurations based on requirements. Create and maintain documentation for middleware installations, changes and upgrades.- Train Junior Engineers on middleware updates and new installations.- Coordinate with vendors and support team on problem resolution, design issues and upgrades.- Perform troubleshooting, incident response, and patching in a timely manner. Develop and implement strategies for migration, consolidation, and upgrade of middleware components.- Evaluate system architecture and make recommendations as required.

Required Skills and Experience

Experience:
years- Installation, Configuration and Administration of IBM WebSphere Application Server system
6.0/6.1/7.0/8.0/8.5 and IBM HTTP server

6.0/6.1/7.0/8.0/8.5 on Linux, AIX and Windows platform.- Involved in complete infrastructure setup and configuration which included WebSphere.- Migrated IBM WebSphere Application Server from 6/7 to 8.0/8.

5- Responsible for Three Different WebSphere environments with WAS version being
6.0/6.1/7.0/8.0/8.5
. Used WebSphere Admin Console and wasadmin/JACL scripting to install enterprise EAR, WAR files or for hot deployment.- Worked & Skilled on with iPlanet and Apache-Tomcat web servers' administration.- Involved in installing the fix patched for WebSphere Application Server, Webserver.- Trouble shooting errors both Applications& JVM also analyses heap/core plus error logs-configured tuned JVM for optimum performance.
Worked in building, configuring and setting up Testing and Production Environments and tested and supported the project as per the Business Rules and specifications.- Installed IBM HTTP Server on different nodes and configured them by generating the plug-in from NDM Administration Console. Updated latest Fixpack Levels.- Involved in setting up JVM tuning parameters after extensive R&D on trial & hit basis-specifically parameters to enable inter core-group communication (for affective WLM) such as (cluster preload, xgcthered), garbage collection.- Involved in Creating and Managing the Nodes, Application Server's, Cluster's and Deployed Multiple J2EE Applications- Deployment of J2EE Applications involved in Creating Cluster's for Load Balancing and Failover, Configuring Resources like JDBC Provider, Creating Virtual Hosts, Shared Libraries, JNDI Configurations, EJB References, Creating Environment Variables, and Configuring Session Management.- Involved in Creating Shell Scripts like Automation of Startup and Shutdown Processes- Interacted and Co-ordinate with different Application Groups for Hot Deployment and Dynamic Reloading of the Applications.

Qualification:
BE / B.Tech, / B.SC / B.A


Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field.
