Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Tool Grinding Operator to join our team and manufacture high-quality carbide cutting tools.

As a CNC Tool Grinding Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC grinding machines, ensuring precise dimensions and tolerances, and producing tools that meet our quality standards.

Your expertise in CNC tool grinding and knowledge of carbide cutting tools will contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations.

• Set up and operate CNC grinding machines to manufacture carbide cutting tools according to specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine tool specifications, dimensions, and grinding requirements.
• Select appropriate grinding wheels, fixtures, and tooling based on job requirements.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure accurate grinding and maintain tolerances.
• Perform tool inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Adjust machine settings, wheel speeds, and feed rates to achieve desired tool geometry and surface finish.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC grinding machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues or refer complex problems to maintenance personnel.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with team members, including engineers and quality control personnel, to address production challenges and implement process improvements.
• Document production data, including tool specifications, grinding parameters, and inspection results.

• High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical education or certifications in machining or tool grinding is preferred.
• Proven experience as a CNC Tool Grinding Operator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of CNC grinding machines, tooling, and cutting tool materials, especially carbide.
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and perform accurate tool inspections.
• Familiarity with CNC programming and Gcode is a plus.
• Solid understanding of machining principles and grinding techniques.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain highquality standards.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
