Area sales managers are employed by companies to generate revenue from an assigned geographical location by implementing and executing strategies to achieve sales targets. They manage and lead Field Sales Representatives, conduct sales territory analyses, and close sales.

Area Sales Manager Responsibilities:
- Managing, training, and providing overall guidance to the sales team of an assigned territory.
- Setting reasonable sales targets to be achieved by the sales team.
- Monitoring the performance of the sales team and motivating members to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Collecting customer feedback and providing updates to senior management.
- Traveling to potential and existing customers within an assigned sales area to present company offerings and build brand awareness.
- Developing and sustaining longterm relationships with customers.
- Implementing a sales management process to assist the sales team in identifying and prioritizing key customers and prospects.
Medical Representatives, or MRs, serve as a point of communication between pharmaceutical corporations and healthcare experts such as doctors and nutritionists
Educational Qualification - Majorly
- Graduate from Medical Background or any graduate can apply.
Role of Medical Representative
- Build a strong network with a range of professionals including but not limited to doctors, practitioners, clinical specialists, paramedical experts, food technologists, psychiatrists, clinical psychology specialists, pediatricians and gynecologists.
- Analyze market trends and conditions to understand where opportunities for networking and businessbuilding may arise.
- Ensure that client servicing facilities are carried out in an effective, timely and efficient manner.
- Reach out to doctors and other medical professionals through both offline and online means and develop constructive relationships.
- Negotiate contracts with prospective clients taking care of terms of the agreement and postcontract formalities.
- Keep abreast of recent developments, discoveries and regulatory changes so as to evaluate its practical micro and macro effects on the industry.
- Knowledgeable about the product offerings, services and unique benefits provided by competitors and other relevant companies.
- Work closely with departments of purchase, sales, operations and strategy to implement effective plans and strategies.
- Be a regular part of medicinerelated events and take advantage of networking opportunities.
- Accurately document and record the proceedings with each client and report back.
