BUYER LOGISTICS

Role Overview
The
Buyer, Logistics is responsible for sourcing goods and services, related to Supply Chain & Logistics operations. Responsible for managing the RFQ process to ensure competitive and ethical bidding.

This role is responsible to lead negotiations and quote reviews to ensure the buyer receives goods and services at the best possible price when aspects such as quality, quantity, time, and location are compared.


Key Skill Sets

  • Purchase Process
  • RFQ, Quote Analysis, Negotiation, Contract
  • Cost Analysis & identify the Cost elements for negotiation.


  • Zero based costing

  • For Logistics Purchase / Trucks & Warehouse operations
  • Market Analysis & Benchmarking
  • Good in Excel & PPT
  • Good Team Player
  • 5~10 Years of experience in Procurement function Preferably in FMCG industry
  • Min 3 Yrs of experience in purchasing of SCM / Logistics related services


  • Transportation

  • LCV, Tankers, Refer Vehicles & other cold chain movements


  • Warehouse

  • Cold storage & General storage


  • Other Services

  • Crates, Pallets, MHE, storage Racks, Bins, GPS hardware & Software, Data Loggers, Space
  • Ability to work in a diversified work environment.


  • Language Known

  • English, Tamil & Hindi.
  • Travel Requirement 10%

Education

  • Graduate / Bachelor in Engineering + MBA
