I. Position Summary


WWISD Junior Buyer will be responsible for supporting execution and follow up of buying activities from 3rd party suppliers to BD distribution centers under the direction of WWISD Deputy Manager in India (who in turns reports directly to WWISD Global Senior SC Manager based in Switzerland).

II. Key Responsibilities

Buying

  • Extract and validate monthly Global Finished Good requirements out of SAP that will be reviewed by the WWISD Deputy Manager before obtaining approval by WWISD Supply Planning Lead in Switzerland.
  • Support the WWISD Deputy Manager in reaching out to regions to ensure any exceptional requirements are included in the global requirements
  • Supporting the WWISD Deputy Manager in calculation and confirmation of component requirements of 3rd party suppliers and ensuring that they receive enough components to meet Finished Goods plan approved by WWISD Global Senior SC Manager in Switzerland
  • Adhoc creation of POs in SAP for approved quantities and sharing with suppliers
Preparation for Supply Review - 3rd party suppliers

  • Support WWISD Deputy Manager to create and implement Dashboards to monitor 3rd Party Suppliers KPIs to be reviewed by WWISD Global Senior SC Manager.
  • Collate inputs related to presentation for supply review of 3rd party suppliers (supply review meeting to be setup and chaired by WWISD Global Senior SC Manager)
  • Minute taking of meetings or Regular Supply Reviews with actions and follow up with owners of actions to ensure completion of actions
SAP Utilization and Analytics

  • Collaborate with the WWISD Supply Chain Analytics Team to provide:
  • Scenario/What if Analysis
  • Operations analytics support
  • Support the WWISD Deputy Manager in ensuring the correctness of SAP master data and SAP utilization, at the direction of Supply Chain leadership in Switzerland, to ensure global visibility of supply in SAP.
  • Analytics around supply chain parameters related to 3rd party suppliers to ensure short term and longterm demand and supply performance is communicated proactively on a regular basis to key stakeholders. For example, backorder and inventory projections, etc.
Continuous Improvement

  • Support on implementation of improvement projects under the leadership of WWISD Global Senior SC Manager
  • Help identifying opportunities for improvement of processes/cost and provide data to the WWISD to submit the business cases to WWISD Global Senior SC Manager for consideration
III. Education

  • University degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or related field.
IV. Experience

  • 1 year of professional experience in Supply Planning/Inventory Planning/Data Analytics, other Supply Chain fields
VI. Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Working knowledge of SAP (ECC, APO etc.)
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Good Communication Skills (both oral and written)
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Learning agility and open to change
  • Collaborative and team player
