Responsibilities and Duties

Handling Export Documentations
The export documentation assistant, who has expertise in sea freight and export documentation, ensures that all exports are documented correctly.
It is your duty to submit timely document directives to independent surveyors and freight forwarders to necessitate timely processing of exports.
You also maintain up-to-date export files in a structured and cataloged system.-
Facilitating Communication
Acting as a middleman, the export documentation supervisor communicates with forwarders associated with the shipment process to ease order volume flow.
It is your responsibility as an export documentation assistant to analyze and negotiate shipping cost with freight forwarders on the basis of weight and consignment volume.
You provide advice on the most affordable mode of transport to facilitate cost effectiveness.As a specialist, it is your duty to monitor and communicate the latest modifications in import procedure and guidelines to merchants assisting in the preparation of commercial documents that conform to the customs laws.
-Verifying Information
It is the export documentation assistant responsibility to verify freight received against receipt information and documentation. It is your duty to sign for cargo using the correct time, date and signature.
As an expert, you check inbound documentation for accuracy prior to reception and annotate receiving documentation with shortages, overages and damages.
The export documentation officer confirms cargo labels and obtains correct signature from drivers upon complete loading. For example, you might evaluate all reports from the sales staff and prescribe suitable changes if necessary.-
Transacting Daily Shipments
The export documentation assistant discovers compliance risks and generates risk assessment measures to ensure the daily consignments are delivered in a timely manner.
Working in this position, you are responsible for the design and implementation of all export plans and activities, ensuring conformity to all project requirements.
For example, as an export documentation assistant, it is your duty to organize for all export documents within a specific deadline, plan for effective shipping procedures and find the desirable transportation method with the aid of the customers.
