Jr.
SQL DBA
Junior SQL DBA for multiple enterprise markets, hosting highly transactional and mission-critical databases for a global insurance provider. A team consists of a 8 offshore DBA's to provide 24x7 and on-call support.

The expectation is that this role provides technical guidance, direction, hands-on expertise, and experience in maintenance, migration & upgrades of servers.

Client collaboration is an integral component of this role.


Work Experience

  • Minimum 2 years experience with indepth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2, 2012,2014,2016,2017 and 2019 Administration and Engine.
  • Good experience in backup, restore, recovery models, database maintenance operations.
  • Experience in Cluster, Replication and Always on.
  • Good experience in migrations and upgradations from Lower versions to higher versions
  • Expert in Performance tuning and query optimization using DMVs, Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler, and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Knowledge on PowerShell scripting and analysing T-SQL code and schema (stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints).
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and assistance.
  • Strong organizational skills and good communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies in a fastpaced environment.
  • 24x7 support with rotational oncall
We need a strong DBA here, who can wear many hats as needed and drive outcomes. Rigid mindsets, poor cultural fit, or language difficulties will be blockers for acceptance
