Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of traditional Chinese dishes, including stirfries, noodles, dumplings, soups, and other specialties.
Ensure that all Chinese dishes are prepared according to authentic recipes and standards, maintaining the true flavors and essence of Chinese cuisine.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and refine the Chinese menu, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative twists on classic dishes.
Monitor food stock levels for Chinese ingredients and supplies, and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment.
Maintain a clean and organized Chinese kitchen area, following strict sanitation and hygiene protocols.
Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper Chinese cooking techniques, knife skills, and food presentation.
Adhere to food safety regulations and ensure compliance with health department guidelines.
Stay updated on current trends and developments in Chinese cuisine, and incorporate new ideas and techniques into menu offerings.
Assist with special events and catering functions featuring Chinese cuisine, as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Cook/Chef specializing in Chinese cuisine, with a minimum of 45 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment.
Indepth knowledge of Chinese culinary techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
Ability to prepare a wide range of Chinese dishes with authenticity and precision.
Strong organizational and timemanagement skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced kitchen environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Creativity and innovation in menu development, with a focus on showcasing the diversity and richness of Chinese cuisine.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Certification in food handling and sanitation preferred.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
