    A little bit about the role:

    ORBCOMM is a leading global provider of industrial Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication solutions that remotely track, monitor and control fixed and mobile assets. We are looking for a Staff Accountantto support the finance functions of our corporation. Candidates with considerable knowledge of accounting and reporting systems are preferred. The incumbent will help ensure that finance processes, procedures and internal controls are effective and efficient. This candidate will work as a member of the finance team based in Hyderabad.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    Perform accounting functions in accordance with ORBCOMM standard procedures and GAAP. This includes, but is not limited to executing the following tasks:

  • Balance sheet account reconciliation
  • Monthly accruals
  • Inventory Reconciliation
  • Daily Cycle Count
  • Commission Calculation
  • Journal entry maintenance
  • Ad hoc projects as requested
  • Perform account analysis as needed, including assisting with the preparation of schedules for the annual audits
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed
  • Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • 1-3 years of related accounting experience
  • Accounting degree
  • Advanced knowledge of computer programs, particularly Microsoft Excel & JDEdwards (JDE)
  • Strong Data manipulation and reconciliation skills
  • Strong analytic, problem solving and reporting skills
  • Excellent collaboration and communications skills
  • The ability to maintain flexibility and composure while participating in multiple tasks concurrently is a must
  • Team player and able to collaborate with other teams and all levels of management in the organization
