    Description
    The Opportunity:
    A B2B Technical Project Manager will be responsible for managing Customer Integration projects, developing standards for external integrations to Avantor systems, analyzing current business processes and technologies, and driving improvements within customer's Procure to Pay life cycle. This role will also play a key part in developing Avantor's strategy for future integrations with external supplier portals.
    MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Serves as a corporate liaison for VWR as an SME within the b2b-digital team.
    • Strong organizational skills and implementation management.
    • Analyzes processes, as compared to business needs, and able to drive system or process improvements.
    • Effectively leads external project teams.
    • Manages & delegates tasks well to project teams.
    • Able to lead complex customer-facing integration projects, working with VWR's top customers.
    • Delivers quality & timely projects; Effectively communicates delays.
    • Interacts well & builds good working relationships with customers and all project players.
    • QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)
      • College degree in related discipline or equivalent experience years of technical project management)
      • 5-8+ years applicable experience
      • Experience with common customer eProcurement applications (i.e. Ariba Network, Jaggaer, Hubwoo, Coupa, Oracle Supplier Network, Unimarket, Perfect Commerce, ExpenseWatch, ESM...)
      • KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)
        • Solid understanding of the Procure-to-Pay / Order to Cash processes.
        • Strong understanding of b2b integration formats (i.e. EDI, cXML, XML, API webservice protocols) and technical systems or processes (i.e. cXML / OCI Punchout, AS2)
        • Best practice knowledge and understanding of how to integrate with SAP.
        • Effective written and verbal communication skills; Well organized;
        • Able to effectively facilitate conference calls
        • Driven; Self-Motivated
        • Good attention to details with perspective to the big picture
